grateful for a lovely stay

i appreciated the polite, attentive staff i encountered throughout the hotel. i found the leisure centre facilities to be excellent , the steam room was particularly powerful. the afternoon tea was fabulous , with lovely sandwiches and sweet treats catered to dietary requirements.
i experienced a problem with the room doors , they were very loud when shut. it caused some disturbance early in the morning when other guests closed their doors. i feel improvements in soundproofing or door mechanisms would benefit future stays.

the classic double room offered ample storage space for luggage and personal items. the bathroom had organic products that added a nice touch to the stay. overall , the room was clean and well-kept.

the hotel's location near a major railway station made travelling around the area simple. finding the hotel from the motorway junction was quite easy. parking was plentiful in the large car park.

i had a fantastic full english breakfast the next morning. the gym and weights room were accessible, and there was ALSO a swimming pool.
The rooms have been constantly disappointing, with plumbing smells. BOTTLED water was not provided. very noisy external sound came from what seemed like aircon or heating plant day and night. parking was expensive.

Yuen and marta provided quick friendly service in the restaurant. the food was great. I enjoyed the fish and chips. rooms were clean but i noted there were no biscuits. the location provides quick access to shopping, the business district, and main roads. ample parking is available.
i only found one bedside cabinet in my room and two small drawers, a little limited for two people.

I found a few issues . The shower temperature was erratic. It shifted from warm to COLD to burning hot. The container for the shower gel was EMPTY upon arrival. The pool area felt cramped, and the water looked murky.
